It's hoped New Zealand can make a U-turn on its road toll stats

Three hundred and 19 people were killed on our roads last year - one less than in 2020.
It comes as four people died on the road yesterday pushing the holiday toll to 14.
AA spokesperson Mike Noon says sections of the roads need upgrades.
He says these include putting in barriers and taking unnecessary curves out.
