Three in four schools are now dealing with covid cases

The latest Ministry of Education data shows than 50-thousand students and staff at New Zealand's schools and early learning services are isolating with the virus.
In phase 3 of the Omicron response, schools and ECEs don't have to contact trace, and classmates or teachers of a case don't have to isolate.
In Auckland, 90 percent of schools are dealing with at least one case, as are 89 percent in Taranaki, Whanganui and Manawatu.
About half of the early learning services in Auckland and Wellington are affected.
To reduce the risk, schools are ventilating occupied spaces, normalising mask-wearing and reducing mingling of students and staff.
