The Otago Daily Times is reporting a party attended by than 150.
Police and fire were called about 9am, to a couch fire in a Castle St flat - called Death Star, including students up since 5am.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond says many students have already ''drunk a lot of alcohol.''
Police are visiting flats to remind partygoers of the Covid-19 restrictions.
