The climb of New Zealand Covid-19 cases is slowing
22 March 2022
That's according to new analysis by the Director General of Health, who is today reporting 20,907 new community cases.
Another 15 people have died with the virus - and one thousand and 16 patients are in hospital - 25 in ICU.
Ashley Bloomfield says in the seven-days to March 20, case numbers outside Auckland increased just one percent.
That's compared to 44 percent in the week before.
He says there are encouraging signs cases are peaking in the Midlands and Wellington regions, but are still increasing in the South Island.
