Police continue to investigate a burglarly allegedly involving a gun at a rural home in Colac Bay in Southland yesterday

The owner of the home was threatened with the weapon, when he approached a group on his property trying to steal fuel.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured.

The four offenders are described as being male, between 20-30 years old.

A silver Subaru Impreza and a grey Toyota Starlet were seen in the area at the time.

A second burglary was also reported to Police in the Round Hill area around the same time.

Firearms, meat, tools and a red and white Honda dirt bike were stolen.
