John Lee lives in Albany...he's lodged a complaint claiming his neighbour is keeping more than 30 chickens in a coop.
He says they're a noise and health hazard, and it's affecting his lifestyle.
Under the Animal Management Bylaw a property can have up to 12 chickens without needing a licence.
Owner Frank Ren says it got only to 30 because they've recently had chicks.
Auckland Council says the complaint is considered low risk, and that's why investigators weren't able to attend to it.
