A man accused of murdering a young father in Invercargill hasn't entered a plea in court today

The Otago Daily Times is reporting the 26-year-old man appeared via audio visual link from the town's police station this morning.
He is charged with murdering Chad Parekura and attempting to murder Austin McGregor, on April 23.
Interim name suppression has been granted during further inquiries.
The defendant has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the High Court in Invercargill on May 17.
