Kiwibank has lifted its headline rate for a two-year fixed mortgage to 5.19 per cent ... and ANZ's signalled changes to its interest rates.
Mortgage Broker Marcus Hull says his advice is to negotiate a new rate.
He says you can lock in a new rate and a new fixed period 60 days in advance.
Hall says in a rising rates environment, you'd want to talk to your bank or a mortgage advisor about getting that locked in as soon as possible.
