Fears of a recession is sending ripples through markets around the world

The NZX 50 has fallen almost two percent in the first two hours of trade, on top of falls earlier in the week.
The ASX has fallen more than two percent on opening trade.
In the US, stock indexes have closed sharply lower in a broad sell-off as recession fears grow.
It follows moves by central banks around the globe to stamp out rising inflation after the Federal Reserve's largest rate hike since 1994.
The benchmark S and P 500 suffered its sixth decline in seven sessions.
