The Prime Minister's hoping to get an EU Free Trade Agreement with New Zealand across the line

Jacinda Ardern leaves for Europe on Sunday and says securing the deal is a top priority.

The agreement's been years in the making... and Arden says there are a few sticking points - but won't reveal what they are.

She says it's the Government's job to open as many doors as possible and the EU is an important market where in a lot of places it's not a level playing field.

She says the Government is seeking an improvement on the status quo.
