Concerning data has come out of a new review into our drinking water

New Zealand's new water regulator Taumata Arowai has released its first Annual Drinking Water Regulation Report.
It includes a combination of data from themselves and the previous regulator, the Ministry of Health.
It highlights that while water supplies that serve nearly 82 percent of the population meet current drinking water standards there were 296 that don't.
Taumata Arowai Chief Executive Bill Bayfield says the data shines a light on issues.
He says they're very concerned with the figures and need to look at ways to improve standards.
