Outcry over the latest twist in Auckland's dramatic mayoral race

A website address for the name of candidate Efeso Collins is redirecting to a website for his main rival, Leo Molloy.

Molloy is denying any responsibility.

Democratic advocate Josiah Tualamali'i says whoever is responsible is going against the spirit of campaigning, and misleading people with lower political participation.

He says taking someone's name and using it to get more views should be illegal, if it isn't already.

Tualamali'i has lodged complaints with both Auckland Council and the Electoral Commission.
