Search teams in Rotorua are reviewing their next steps after still finding no sign of missing kayaker Gregory Flavell

The 18-year-old has been missing since Wednesday afternoon on Lake Rotorua, on the eastern side of Mokoia Island.

Navy divers used sonar equipment in today's search, but nothing relevant has been found.

Police say they're expecting to conduct shoreline searches of the lake tomorrow.

They remind the public to call them if they've seen the teenager, who is described as six foot one, Maori, and with shoulder length wavy hair.
