The Black Caps aren't getting ahead of themselves with the Twenty20 World Cup looming large, in Australia in October

The New Zealand men lost their first limited overs match in 14 outings today, spanning tours to Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and the Caribbean... going down to the West Indies in the dead rubber final T20 in Jamaica.

All the match practice can't hurt for the big show, though batter Glenn Phillips is preaching caution.
