A prison officer charged after allegedly pepper spraying an inmate who then died, has kept his name secret -- for now

The April death, at Auckland's Mount Eden prison, sparked a police investigation and internal Corrections reviews.
It's understood the inmate died after an altercation with prison officers in a high mental health need unit, allegedly losing consciousness after being sprayed then retained.
Police charged an officer with assault with a weapon.
