The Otago Daily Times reports Elyse Wilson ordered one thousand dollars worth of meat to a central Dunedin bar she worked for... before taking it away for herself in her car.
A week later she raised the stakes in a similar manner at the same bar, with a seven-thousand dollar order.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of theft in a special relationship, when she appeared in the Dunedin District Court.
Wilson will be ordered to pay what she owes in 100 dollar a week instalments.
