    Police have released the name of the man who died on Christmas Eve at Te Kuiti

    Police have released the name of the man who died on Christmas Eve at Te Kuiti


    He was William Hurae Te Omeka Bell - a 41 year old local man.

    Police were called to a family harm incident at a Te Kuiti address and arrested Bell, taking him to the station.

    They returned to his house with him to get medication, and he took his own life.
