Woman who failed to protect disabled man remanded in custody until sentencing
A woman who admitted failing to protect or get medical help for a disabled man who later died has been told she has to stay behind bars until her sentencing

Annie Mathews appeared in Rotorua's District Court today for an electronic bail application which was denied by the judge.
She and her former partner Jovander Raymond Terry were jointly charged following an investigation into the death of Bruce Rangitutia from Tokoroa.
The pair pleaded guilty to charges relating to neglecting the disabled man in April. He died in December 2015.
