A Bay of Islands dolphin tour operator's been reminded to minimise risks ... after a skipper crashed into rocks in October 2018

A Bay of Islands dolphin tour operator's been reminded to minimise risks ... after a skipper crashed into rocks in October 2018

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission's released its findings.

Fullers GreatSights catamaran, Dolphin Seeker, had six crew and 47 passengers onboard when the skipper ran aground, manoeuvring around a pod of dolphins.

No one was injured, but the boat's propellers and hull were damaged.

The Commission identified the company's safety management system didn't address grounding and collision risks for skippers effectively working alone.
