It'll be feeling like summer for much of the country from now to the end of the weekend

It'll be feeling like summer for much of the country from now to the end of the weekend

MetService is forecasting settled conditions this weekend and soaring temperatures.

Some centres are expected to rise 6 or 7 degrees above average for this time of the year - Masterton and Tokoroa can expect to top 27 degrees, with 28 degrees forecast for Rotorua.

Meteorologist Andy Best says the more stable conditions will no doubt be welcomed by Cantabrians - after severe thunderstorms, hail and a small tornado earlier in the week.
