    It's a bit too soon to start thinking about winning a second Tour of Southland title for Aaron Gate


    The 2016 champion has won today's opening stage from Invercargill to Gore to take the leader's yellow jersey.

    The Black Spoke Cycling Academy rider won in a sprint finish from Ben Oliver with Gate's Black Spoke teammate James Oram third.



    Stage two tomorrow is from Riverton to Te Anau.
