Four upper North Island supermarkets worth tens of millions of dollars are being sold in a musical chairs-style of transactions

It's been triggered by the pending sale of what's thought to be the country's biggest revenue-earning store.
Insiders say Foodstuffs stores in Albany, College Hill and Birkenhead in Auckland -- and in Te Kuiti -- are changing hands because owner-operators can only control one outlet at any one time.
The deals appear to have been sparked, by the pending sale of Pak'n'Save Albany later this year.
