    Disappointment -- but no surprise -- for Waikato residents facing an extended lockdown


    Parts of Waikato will stay at Alert Level Three for the next six days -- subject to a further review on Wednesday.

    It includes the Waitomo, Otorohanga, Waipa, Hamilton and Waikato districts -- including Te Kuiti, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Raglan, Ngaruawahia, Huntly and Te Kauwhata.

    Waikato District Mayor Allan Sanson says the virus just isn't going away.

    He says Covid appears to be circulating in a particular sector of the community who don't seem to be worried about it.
