    A man is on the run after holding up a bank in Paraparaumu yesterday


    Police want to speak with witnesses after they say he threatened staff at ASB Bank on Coastlands Parade about 4.30pm -- with what appeared to be a firearm.

    The man took off from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

    No shots were fired and no one was injured.

    Police are trying to locate the man and want to hear from anyone who saw him leaving the scene.
