    A man's appeared in court charged following the hit-and-run of a cyclist on Linwood Avenue - and been remanded in custody


    The crash shortly before 4 yesterday afternoon left the cyclist critically injured.

    43 year old Ashburton man, Keho Anania Wikaira,was charged with failing to stop without ascertaining injury, dangerous driving causing injury and driving while disqualified a third or subsequent time.

    He has been remanded in custody without plea to October 5.
