    New locations are being searched, as police try to locate a missing man


    37 year old Anaru Moana disappeared from Waimate on December 20 - police believe he might have been murdered.

    Investigating officers have identified several new locations in the Waitaki Valley and Oamaru area, which are being searched this week.

    They're also appealing for sightings of a silver or grey Subaru and a silver BMW, seen in the hours and day following Moana's disappearance.

    The burned out Subaru was found at the Waihoa River layby off State Highway 1, on December 22.
