Police say they're relieved to have found two missing girls safe and well after they were allegedly taken in a breach of a parenting order on Christmas Eve

Police say they're relieved to have found two missing girls safe and well after they were allegedly taken in a breach of a parenting order on Christmas Eve

The pair were last seen on Monday at an Auckland service station, before the car they were in was seen in New Plymouth yesterday morning.

A woman connected to their disappearance was found alone in Wellington last night and arrested.

Police say thanks to information from the public they found the girls at an address in Auckland's Henderson.

They'll be returned to their family, while people at the address are assisting police with enquiries.

The woman is due in Wellington District Court today.
