A man has broken down in tears after being acquitted of nine sexual charges

After a week-long jury trial in the Invercargill District Court, the 30-year-old was found not guilty on all charges, including sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection and two charges of rape.

Judge Maria Pecotic has continued the suppression of his identity and occupation and a hearing for permanent name suppression has been set down for next month.
