    The Otago Volts have lost to the Wellington Firebirds by nine wickets in one of the most one-sided matches in the history of the T-20 cricket Super Smash.

    The hosts were rolled for 47 - the lowest total in a men's domestic T-20 in New Zealand.

    Matthew Bacon - coming in at number 11 - top scored with an unbeaten nine.

    Wellington chased down the target in 4.3 overs.

    Nathan Smith returned figures of four for five against his former side.

    Earlier the Wellington Blaze beat the Otago Sparks by 20 runs in the women's competition.
