Two bodies have now been recovered, after a quad biking accident in Peria, east of Kaitaia in Northland

Police say an ATV rolled into a swimming hole at the Waikainga Stream, yesterday afternoon.

Dive squads had been searching for the people.

A rahui has been placed on the area - and Police say they're making enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.

Six people were onboard the bike.

Four were able to make it out of the water, and have been in hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
