World number one Novak Djokovic is on the brink of elimination at the Australian tennis Open

World number one Novak Djokovic is on the brink of elimination at the Australian tennis Open

He's down by two sets to Italian Jannick Sinner in their men's semi-final.

It's currently 5-all in the third set.

Meanwhile, Kiwi ace Erin Routliffe and her Canadian partner Gaby Dabrowski are in a tight battle in their women's doubles semi-final on Margaret Court Arena.

They're down 6-5 to Jelena Ostapenko and Lyudmyla Kichenok

Canterbury paceman Will O'Rourke has received a maiden test call-up to the Black Caps, but domestic teammate Henry Nicholls has been axed for the South Africa series.

Nicholls' poor run pre-Christmas in Bangladesh has cost him his spot, with Rachin Ravindra in line to bat in the middle order.

O'Rourke has been added for the second test in Hamilton only, with one squad member to drop out after the first test in Tauranga, starting Sunday week.

The bowler says getting the call from coach Gary Stead was surreal.

Tom Blundell, Kyle Jamieson and former captain Kane Williamson are all expected to be fit, as they make returns from injuries.

Will Young acts as batting cover.

New Zealand Breakers part-owner Shawn Marion is backing forward Anthony Lamb to make a return to the NBA.

Lamb - who last played for the Golden State Warriors - has excelled as the Breakers' leading scorer and rebounder this season.

Former NBA champion Marion says the 26-year-old is playing on another level in the Aussie NBL.

The Breakers host the Tasmania JackJumpers at Eventfinda Stadium inside the hour .
