Despite a rise in profitable re-sales nationwide, it's a mixed bag regionally

New CoreLogic data shows around 93 percent of resold properties have turned a profit in the fourth quarter of last year...rising for the first time in two years.
Median resale gain increased to 305-thousand dollars on the previous quarter, buoyed by a rise in hold periods.
CoreLogic chief economist Kelvin Davidson says there's also some variability among the main centres.
He says Auckland and Christchurch both saw improvements last quarter, while Hamilton and Tauranga were a bit softer.
