A doctor has been censured, and ordered to pay more than 30-thousand-dollars after an investigation over her relationship with a former patient

A doctor has been censured, and ordered to pay more than 30-thousand-dollars after an investigation over her relationship with a former patient

A Health Practitioner's Disciplinary Tribunal panel convened in Nelson in 2022 to hear a charge against Doctor O.

They found she entered a sexual relationship with a man whose family had been her patients - and breached his wife's privacy by disclosing her information to the man.

It found no improper contact during consultations - and insufficient evidence the doctor ended her patient relationship with the man, to continue seeing him personally.
