Sheep farmers are being urged to hang on

Sheep farmers are being urged to hang on

The world's largest wool processing facility has reopened in Napier's Awatoto.

It's been getting repairs since being whacked by Cyclone Gabrielle - with a 50-million-dollar rebuild.

Federated Farmers Wool Chairperson, Toby Williams, says sheep farmers need to hold on.

He says customers from overseas, like China, UK, Europe, are clamouring for our high quality Kiwi wool.

Williams says it's also strong, and when manufacturer's make woollen carpet or garments, they can trust the yarn will hold together in the machine.
