    Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of two people at a home in Turangi, south of Taupo, overnight


    A scene examination is underway.

    Taupo Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Yardley says Police were called to the property just before 10pm, to find two people dead.

    He says members of the public can expect to see an increased Police presence in the area over the coming days as they work to piece together what happened.

    Anyone who saw anything suspicious is urged to contact Police on 105.
