    The community of Turangi, southwest of Taupo, is devastated as Police continue to investigate a suspected double homicide


    Two people were found dead at a property on Poihaere Street on Wednesday night.

    There's an increased Police presence in the area.

    Local councillor Sandra Greenslade says its a supportive community and everybody in the town knows each-other.
