Stuff reports a lawyer in her 60s was allegedly punched in the head by a client outside Auckland District Court on Wednesday.
Police say a 25-year-old has been charged with assault with intent to injure.
A family lawyer was left with a fractured sternum, nose and thyroid from an attack in a lift at Whangarei courthouse last March.
The Bar Association's Rachael Reed KC says these attacks are increasing and must be stopped.
She says it will take action and work with others to change the worrying dynamic.
