The arrest of a 46-year-old man by Hawke's Bay Police is prompting messages about online safety

The arrest of a 46-year-old man by Hawke's Bay Police is prompting messages about online safety

The man is facing three charges of indecent communication with an under-16-year-old, and one of travelling to meet a young person after sexual grooming.

He was arrested on Friday and will appear in Hastings District Court today.

Detective Sergeant MacDonald says it serves as a reminder to be vigilant.

He says the school holidays are a good time for parents to speak with kids about ways to keep safe.
