Positive signs of cyclone recovery in Hawke's Bay and Gisborne

Positive signs of cyclone recovery in Hawke's Bay and Gisborne

Napier Port has reported a 3.4-percent increase in container volumes and a 9-percent increase in bulk cargo volumes in the year to September.

Food exports like apples and meat have been rebounding, as growers and farmers get back on their feet.

Forestry exports have also ticked up, only to fall again due to gas shortages and rising electricity prices.

Meanwhile, cruise ship arrivals are continuing to pick up after Covid.
