Auckland's War Memorial Museum is closed this weekend

Auckland's War Memorial Museum is closed this weekend

Last month, as part of heritage work investigations, static asbestos dust was found in Te Marae Atea Maori Court and the Pacific Galleries.

Swab testing also identified positive results for asbestos in the Grand Foyer which has also been closed.

The weekend closure will allow time to prepare the spaces for asbestos cleaning and removal.
