    A Wellington man has been arrested and accused of being part of an alleged massive cryptocurrency scam


    It's alleged the group stole 450 million dollars from seven victims and then spent the crypto on a variety of luxury items.

    He's been indicted by the US Department of Justice on racketeering charges.

    The man's been bailed after appearing in the Auckland District Court today, he will reappear early next month.

    He has been granted interim name suppression.
