A High Court Judge has recounted the depraved and brutal acts committed by Yanfei Bao's killers

A High Court Judge has recounted the depraved and brutal acts committed by Yanfei Bao's killers

In the High Court at Christchurch yesterday, Justice Lisa Preston sentenced Tingjun Cao to life in prison.

He will not be eligible for parole for at least 17-years six months.

Preston says, while it can't be proven, Bao was quite likely alive, when she was put in the boot of Cao's car.

She says it is chillingly callous behaviour - which was either calculated to strike terror in his victim, or further indignify her.
