Seven people are recovering from injuries after a two vehicle crash near Taupo yesterday

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Broadlands Road, and Off Road Highway, just after 3 o'clock.

Hato Hone St John says two people in a critical condition were airlifted to Waikato Hospital and another in a serious condition was airlifted to Rotorua Hospital.

Three people in a moderate condition were taken to Taupo hospital by ambulance and one person with minor injuries was treated at the scene.
