A spotlight will be turned on children's motocross after a coroner ruled four deaths will be examined in a joint inquest

A probe into the death of 10 year old Taupo motocross rider Jack Wilson has been paused after three young people died in similar circumstances.

Jack's father says he believes his son's death happened because of a change to track design.

Coroner Ian Telford says examining all four deaths will allow for more clear recommendations.

A conference will be held in five weeks to decide how to proceed.
