Teamwork has made the dream a reality for Wild Oats XI ahead of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race

The nine times line honours winners suffered substantial damage to their boat during a race out of Sydney last month, where they literally required all hands on deck to fix the maxi yacht.

Matthew Mason is a kiwi on board Wild Oats, and says they initially thought they might not even make it in time for the race.



The race begins in Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day.
