    New Zealand has left it late to arrive in the Czech Republic ahead of this weekend's World Cup canoe sprint regatta in Racice


    The 12-strong New Zealand team has based themselves in Italy for the past couple of weeks, only embarking on the 12 hour drive to the regatta venue 36 hours before racing begins.

    Head coach Gordon Walker says there are a couple of reasons.



    Racing begins tomorrow night.
