The High Court at Auckland has rejected an appeal from a charity boss who stole thousands from the organisation she founded

Former Head of Pacific Island Safety and Prevention Project, Betty Sio, was found guilty last year.

Alongside her operations manager, Sio used fake invoices to take more than 40 thousand dollars from the charity.

Her bid to overturn her guilty verdict and fine of 3000 dollars has been denied.
