Police have confirmed a person has died in a housefire in Auckland's Mangere

Four fire crews were sent to the blaze on Tidal Road just before 1:30, and were able to put it out.

A Hato Hone St John ambulance spokesperson says four people with minor injuries were assessed at the scene and didn't need treatment.

Police are working to establish the cause of the fire.

Members of a local church group have gathered at the cordon.
