The Wellington Mayor Tory Whanau says relentless negative talk about the capital is unacceptable

The Wellington Mayor Tory Whanau says relentless negative talk about the capital is unacceptable

It follows the city council voting to stop the controversial sale of its shares in the airport - as part of the now jeopardised 10-year plan.

Tory Whanau says she's still committed to the plan, despite the decision, and hopeful for what's ahead.

She says Wellington has had difficult times like every other place, but locals have got to stop talking badly about their own city.
