Jury deliberations continue, in the trial of a 14-year-old boy accused of murdering another teenager at Dunedin's bus hub

Jury deliberations continue, in the trial of a 14-year-old boy accused of murdering another teenager at Dunedin's bus hub

The boy's on trial, following the death of 16-year-old Enere Taana-McLaren last May.

He's pleaded not guilty - on the basis of self defence.

The Crown says the accused deliberately attacked the victim with a knife - while the defence wants the jury to consider the boy's trauma, and attempts to protect himself.
